Description
This is a set of images taken with Julia Wagner as part of my “Portal” project. Crouched above a mysterious opening in a platform covered with artificial grass, Julia appears to be slowly disappearing into another dimension. Her tightly folded body, cascading dark curls, and outstretched hand create the impression of someone caught between two worlds. Against a completely black backdrop, dramatic studio lighting emphasizes the contours of her nude figure while the surrounding darkness conceals whatever lies beneath the surface. Blending artistic nude photography, surrealism, and experimental set design, this collection explores the unsettling idea of crossing into the unknown, where an ordinary patch of grass becomes a gateway to somewhere beyond our reality. Photographed in studio on 05-21-2022.
