This is a set of images taken with Saturn Werde as part of my “Bone Collection” project. Wearing a revealing red strappy harness while holding a human skull prop behind her back, Saturn creates a provocative contrast between living flesh and the symbolism of death. Her platinum blonde hair, arched posture, and over-the-shoulder pose bring a dramatic sensuality to the collection, while the skull adds a darker, macabre element to the composition. The solid black backdrop and carefully controlled studio lighting emphasize the contours of her figure, the vibrant red straps, and the weathered details of the skull. “Death Behind Her” combines alternative boudoir photography, gothic symbolism, and artistic figure portraiture, continuing the “Bone Collection” project’s exploration of beauty, mortality, and the human form.
