This is a set of images taken with Felicity Sparks as part of my “Embryo” project. Enclosed within a translucent membrane, Felicity becomes a mysterious silhouette suspended between confinement and freedom. Her raised arms, bent leg, and carefully positioned body create the illusion of a human figure developing inside an artificial womb. Dramatic backlighting transforms her body into a shadowy form, emphasizing the delicate boundary between visibility and concealment. The translucent material softens her features while preserving the striking contours of her pose, creating an unsettling yet beautiful representation of life before birth. Blending experimental photography, abstract human forms, and surreal imagery, this collection explores themes of creation, transformation, vulnerability, and the desire to break free.
