Description
This is a set of images taken with Scout Anvar as part of my “Mail Order Bride” project. Scout begins the collection wearing burgundy lace lingerie and matching panties before eventually going topless, giving new meaning to the familiar shipping instruction, “Handle With Care.” Reclining inside an oversized cardboard box surrounded by crumpled brown packing paper, she playfully stretches her body beyond the confines of the packaging, suggesting that some deliveries simply cannot be contained. Her mischievous smile, distinctive tattoos, and turquoise-painted nails bring personality to this unconventional collection. As the lingerie comes off, the series transitions into a more revealing exploration of sensuality and artistic expression. Combining alternative boudoir photography with playful satire, “Handle With Desire” transforms an ordinary shipping box into a provocative commentary on beauty, desire, and the commercialization of companionship.
