This is a set of images taken with Maja Violette as part of my “Mail Order Bride” project. In this unconventional interpretation of a bride delivered straight to your doorstep, Maja poses nude inside an oversized cardboard shipping box, surrounded by crumpled brown packing paper. With her back turned toward the camera, the composition emphasizes the natural contours of her figure, the delicate definition of her spine, and the subtle tattoos adorning her shoulders. Her long blonde hair cascades down her back, while the ordinary packaging creates an absurd contrast with the beauty of the human form. Blending dark humor, artistic nudity, and a satirical take on the commercialization of intimacy, this collection explores the unsettling idea of treating human relationships as commodities.
